How credits work
Two counters, not one: how much the AI work costs and how many requests you've made. If either one runs out, the chat stops until midnight.
What are base credits?
Every plan, the free one included, gives you two daily values: "AI costs today" and "AI calls today". You can see both in real time in your area, and they reset automatically at midnight, every day.
Why two values instead of one?
Because a request doesn't always cost the same. "AI calls" count how many times you write; "AI costs" measure how much work went into the answers. A lighter model uses less credit and lets you make more calls; a more powerful model, a very long conversation or a web search use more.
When do I get blocked?
As soon as either value runs out. If you use up your AI credits but still have calls left, you're blocked anyway; if you use up your calls but still have credits, same thing. One is enough, and you can't keep chatting until midnight, when both reset.
Is my plan's request count guaranteed?
It's a ceiling, not a promise: you reach it if the cost of the answers allows. With a cheap model you can go all the way to the call limit; with a more expensive one you'll run out of AI credits first. That's why we show both values instead of just one.
What can I do when I run out?
Three options. Wait until midnight, which is free. Buy an extra package, which is added right away. Or move to Premium or Roleplay, which gives you more credits included every day plus the features the free plan doesn't have.
Do extra credits expire?
Never. They stay there until you use them. When you buy a package you'll see "Extra AI Credits" and "Extra Calls" appear: they're only used once you've exhausted the ones included in your plan, so you always spend what your subscription already gives you first.
What happens if I upgrade halfway through the day?
The day starts over. Costs and calls already used on your previous plan don't count against the new one: from the moment it activates you have the full daily allowance of the plan you just bought.
And if I run out on a paid plan too?
You can buy extra packages from Premium or Roleplay just as you can from the free plan. Or wait until midnight and start again with the full allowance.
What is the free Plus pack that comes with the Roleplay plan?
The first time you activate the Roleplay plan, including when you switch from Premium, we give you a Plus pack (worth €2.99): up to 200 more messages. It's added to your balance as soon as the payment goes through and works like a pack you bought: it never expires and is only used after the day's included credits run out. There's one per account: cancelling and subscribing again doesn't give you another, and it can't be exchanged for money.
